Ag & Household Hazardous Material Disposal

When disposed of improperly, ag and household hazardous materials have potential to threaten the quality of our environment and the safety of sanitation workers, as well as pose an accidental poison risk to children and pets. The Winnebago County Clean Sweep provides free hazardous material disposal services to in-county farms and households.

Business Hazardous Material Disposal

Hazardous materials will also be accepted from Winnebago County businesses identified as Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG) during these collection events. Disposal fees apply to business materials. Eligible businesses may receive a 50 percent subsidy for disposal of pesticide wastes. The registration deadline for business hazardous material disposal is October 25th at 3:30 p.m.

Donations Accepted

This program is funded by Winnebago County Solid Waste and by grant funds provided by Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). For 2024, the cost remains free for Winnebago County residents and farmers utilizing this program. Monetary donations will be accepted during the event to help offset disposal and program costs.
