The app has a large database of information compiled through research and communication with municipalities and businesses. “The database is constantly growing, allowing user suggestions for unknown items so you can effectively recycle materials anywhere in our area”, explained Walter.
Not only does the app provide useful information, but frequent users also get rewarded. As users scan, they build points that can be redeemed for gift cards to popular retailers such as Amazon, Dunkin’ Donuts and Petco. “BetterBin takes all the guess work out of recycling and waste disposal,” explained Walter. “Having this tool on hand instantly takes you in the right steps to living greener.” The BetterBin app is free to download and use at the App Store or Google Play.
